We say '512 x 512 pixels' as required by most virtual worlds. At least one side of the image should be minimum 512 pixels. Around 72 dpi or average quality as the larger the file the longer it will take to load.

Images that take too long to load just get passed by!

The hardest thing for the Contest Runner is that images are sent in with all kinds of sizes etc.  ;  ( with stupid file names too lol)
